All artwork, excluding our hand-pulled screen prints, is produced using Giclée fine art printing with pigment-based Ultra Chrome and Ultra Violet (UV) inks for superior colours and longevity. These assure your print will remain vibrant for over 75 years. We aim for the highest print resolution possible.

RECLAIMED WOOD

Available for each of our design options. Eco-friendly, beautifully hand-crafted frames made from weathered reclaimed wood.
By combining modern printing techniques with re-cycled materials, often over 100 years old, More Than Words produces unique pieces of personalised rustic typographic art.

Each piece is constructed using salvaged wood that has been sourced from demolished buildings all over the south of England. Your artwork will be completely unique, as the timber is worked to reveal the individual texture and colour, with retained defects such as old nail holes, to maintain its character. We then use a top secret printing technique to ovelerlay your design direct onto the wood.

Our reclaimed wood destinations blinds are printed onto old kiln shelves. Each piece is unique in size and shape, measuring approximately 1400 x 500mm (45mm deep), edged with aged steel top and bottom. Please note these pieces are heavy, weighing 16kg. They look stunning hanging or propped up on a wall (wall fixings supplied).

CANVAS

Our museum-quality heavyweight 450gsm 100% matte cotton canvas is approved to Fine Art standards.

Sturdy wooden support frames are made from FSC approved kiln-dried redwood pine, measuring a chunky 45mm deep. These premium stretcher bars are hand cut and planed to size, with a curved profile and rounded edges which ensures minimal contact with the front of the canvas, preventing cracking and impression marks.

Each piece of artwork is hand-stretched around the frame (a highly-skilled process) and finished on the rear with artists backing tape. The corners of each canvas are professionally trimmed and not folded so there will be no unsightly bulges around the edges. Our canvas is produced in a way that ensures you don't need to worry about sagging so there is no need for tightening wedges.

To complete the process, each piece of artwork is sprayed several times with a Fine Art approved satin varnish, which not only helps to add further protection against light and moisture but also enhances the inks and helps to protect against yellowing and marking.

VINTAGE FRAMED CANVAS

A swept ornate frame in black, white, silver and gold. Your design is produced using a 360 gsm natural archival canvas, printed with UV archival pigment inks and finished multiple times with a Fine Art Trade approved satin varnish. The print is then hand stretched around a 3mm board and hand mounted into the deep-set heavy ornate frame - total chic!

Please note that ornate frames measure an additional 3" (approx) around each edge.

ACRYLIC

A stunning contemporary finish to your design. Our high-quality acrylic is supplied with four aluminium spacers so that your artwork sits away from the wall. Your design will be printed on to a heavyweight acid-free professional paper using UV archival inks and then applied to the acrylic using a special heat-sealing process.

Our framed designs are printed onto professional 225gsm acid free archival paper using UV archival pigment inks. Each print is mounted with a beveled, off-white textured mount. Each chunky frame is 45mm deep and available in dark brown, light brown or black ash.

BOX FRAMES

Availalble for our 'Personalised Loves' product only. Our 'Box Framed Prints' are produced using 40mm solid deep ash frame supplied from sustainable resources, available in black, brown and natural finish. The print is produced using archival inks and printed to 200gram stock. The print is hand mounted and sealed to give a satin finish providing extra protection. The print is then mounted to the top edge of the frame giving a box effect.

SCREENPRINTS

More Than Words original screen prints are hand-pulled using a silk screen onto 100% cotton, radiant white Somerset Velvet 255 gsm paper. This world leading paper is engineered in the UK to ensure ultimate colour saturation, allowing the ink to sit on the paper, rather than in it. Each acid-free sheet is buffered to further protect the artwork from acids in the atmosphere.
